Nebulae are classified into many different categories. For example, look at the two pictures below. Although they may look very different, they are all nebulae. The type of nebulae include: emission nebulae, reflection nebulae, planetary nebulae, dark nebulae, and supernova remenants. To learn more about each type of nebulae, use the sidebar to your left.


The Cat's Eye is a complex planetary Nebula.	This nebula is in the Milky Way galaxy. It has two ladder like structures surrounding a dying star.
